Vintage Pens: Parker 75 RMS Queen Elizabeth
Vintage Pens: 1692 Parker 75 RMS Queen Elizabeth
She was the grandest lady to sail the seven seas with unparalleled refinement: the RMS Queen Elizabeth. The finest ship of the Cunard line, she was designed to stylishly cross the Atlantic in one week with a speed and grace yet to be experienced. She was drafted for the war effort in 1940, before her first cruise! She safely carried nearly 900,000 soldiers around the world before she ever got to carry a passenger for pleasure. Refurbished after the war for her intended purpose, she spent more than 2 decades fulfilling peoples dreams at sea. In the 1970s, she was bought to be converted into a floating international university. While being refit, a fire broke out and she was sunk in Honk Kong harbor. This very limited Parker 75 is just about all that is left, as it was made from the brass salvaged from the wreckage! Sparingly used, it is in mint condition and comes complete with its treasure chest box, papers, nib key, chest key, 2 converters and cloth cozy.
