Pre-Owned Pens: Mont Blanc Alexandre Dumas Writers Series
Pre-Owned Pens: 1810 Mont Blanc Alexandre Dumas Writers Series
Few writers succeed in capturing the imaginations of every generation for more than 170 years! Alexandre Dumas has done it with not just one book but dozens! He is best remembered for "The Three Musketeers," "The Man in the Iron Mask," "The Corsican Brothers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo." His son, Alexandre Dumas fils, wrote the almost equally successful "Camille." That is important because this RARE 1996 Mont Blanc Alexandre Dumas Writers Series limited edition fountain pen is dedicated to Alex senior, with its decorative swords and fleur de lis, but it accidentally sports the son's signature on the cap! MB recalled these pens for replacements with the proper signatures, but clearly this one didn't get returned. It is in good working order with all of its boxes and papers. HOWEVER, it was a daily user for a short while, and there are light scratches on the cap and barrel. No cracks, dents or dings. The two-tone 18k gold barrel writes a medium-broad line.
