Originally designed to be a neon highlighter, this is the perfect Pelikan curio for dedicated collectors and anyone who loves a good writer. Some might consider this the neon-yellow demonstrator model, as you can see all the moving parts and ink inside it. Even some stuck dried ink. Our preowned Pelikan Souveran M200 is in excellent condition with minimal wear. We regreased the piston mechanism, and it operates smoothly. You might really like its super-smooth steel double broad nib, too. The logo on top of the cap is a black field with a silver mama pelican and a single chick. Pelikan pens remain some of our very favorite pens out of Europe. This earlier Pelikan Souveran M400 is no exception. In fact, it is part of the reason why we love this brand so much. Click the headline for close-ups. In phenomenal condition, this tortoise-colored preowned pen shows minimal wear. We regreased the piston and the pen fills with ease. Check out the earlier 14k gold nib. You'll write a smooth fine line. The imprinted logo on top of the cap is gold-filled and showcases a mama pelican with two chicks. 12.6cm capped.

Tortoise-colored Pelikan Souveran pens from this earlier era are a little more difficult to find. We believe this is the R400, but when it comes to rollerball pens we don't know the difference between R400s and R200s. Our preowned pen shows minimal wear from use and looks great. No cracks, deep scratches nor brassing. The logo on the top of the cap is a gold-filled imprint of a mother pelican with two chicks. We installed a new blue rollerball refill. 12.6cm capped.

Earlier this year Pelikan released an M1000 Renaissance based on this original limited edition Pelikan M800 Renaissance. We love the original better, as it fits the hand more easily than the bulky oversized 1000s. Our pre-owned pen is in excellent condition with minimal wear from use. The piston filler operates smoothly. You will write a fine line with its two-tone 18k gold nib. There is a little feedback. Included with the pen are its original box and travel pouch. The inner box shows a little wear. The outer white box not pictured has some ink stains. The frosted gold logo sports a mama pelican with one chick. Pelican birds carry their dinner in a pouch. Why should you carry Pelikan pens in a special pouch. We have a lovely leather pouch from Pelikan that claims to hold 2 pens. We would argue it might be better suited for one really big pen or two average pens. Looks like new and comes with its box.

Germany is known for its emphasis on quality and luxury, and we think the German brand Pelikan is antithesis of writing excellence. The Pelikan Souveran R800 is a large rollerball pen that is very sophisticated. Our preowned luxury pen is in almost-new condition with minimal wear. Included are its original box and a fancy, cream-colored carrying pouch. We just installed a new blue rollerball refill. The company logo features a frosted golden field with a mama pelican and a single chick. 14.2cm capped.

Blue-pen lovers that we are, we think there is no topping the Pelikan City Series Stockholm pens for looks. It is easily the most attractive of the "cities." Ours is in excellent working worker, showing only minimal wear from use...and some scratches on the piston filler knob and the section grip. We find it rather amusing that it comes in the "Grand Place" city series pen's box. It is the right size and shape box for the Stockholm, just the wrong labels on the box. In our own personal collection we have a Pelikan P40 Pura that is probably the most reliable daily driver that we have. We can't imagine this one would be any different. Complete with its original box and travel pouch (not photographed) this is a luxurious workaday pen. This one is gently used with only light wear. It fills with standard international cartridges. You will write a smooth fine line that might be a shade on the dry side depending upon the ink you use. 14cm capped.
