This pen was manufactured in the 1940s - 1950's by the Thomas De LaRue Co. Ltd. in London, England. The pen fills via a plunger which was recently replaced. The pens' barrel imprints are amazingly strong for a pen this age and it's a 5601 model. The nib is 14 carat and has 3/ST stamped on it, the pen has good flex and can lay down a good line of ink. The pen is shiny black and the barrel has nice, strong "barley corn" pattern on it.

The cone is inspired by the button of the mixing table at the famous Abbey Road studios, while the cap is inspired by the studio's microphone. Finally, the limitation of 1969 refers to the year of the iconic Abbey Road album.

The characteristics are as follows: 14k Pat. 58001, nib is Edward Todd & Co. New York, # 3. It is in very good used condition.
