Vintage Pens: Parker 51 Half Demonstrator
Vintage Pens: 1351 Parker 51 Half Demonstrator
To help showcase the incredible wonder of the Parker 51, the company made some rare demonstrator and half demonstrator models for sales reps to show off to pen shops. This is an authentic Parker 51 "half demonstrator" from the 1940s. There is no date code on the pen, but it has a Vacumatic filler, which we restored with a fresh diaphragm. (The pump doesn't like to come all the way up, but it does work.) Click the headline to see a close up of the clear nib cowl, ink feed and 14k gold nib. The cap has an amber jewel. The nut under it is stripped, so...to our honest shame...we super glued it in place to hold the clip on more tightly. The cap has multiple dimples. Still, it is a really nice grail pen! 13.8cm capped.
