Vintage Pens: 1353 Parker 51
Click the headline to see the unique cap of this Parker 51 a little more closely. We've never seen "Parker" written into the rim of the cap like this before, plus seems cut off about a third of the way from the bottom. On the back it says "1/10 14k Gold Filled / Made in USA." The last line was almost cut off. There is a circle of brassing directly below the pocket clip, and a line of brassing just to its write. The pinstripe design is worn on the back. No real dents, but one reverse dent. The rest of the pen is a basic 51 from the second quarter of 1944. We replaced the diaphragm, and the pen is in good working order. The 14k gold nib writes a really sharp extra-fine line. Some might call it scratchy, but XF lovers will likely enjoy it. The nib cowl has some scratches and gentle warp. The barrel has some wear, and the blind cap isn't lining up squarely. 13.8cm capped.
