Vintage Pens: Sheaffer Stately Admiral
Vintage Pens: 2780 Sheaffer Stately Admiral
Sage green is one of the rarer Sheaffer Snorkel colors. Frankenstein's monster was painted green, even though the Boris Karloff classic was filmed in black and white. So what do you do when you have a box full of green parts? Frankenpen! It's alive! It's alive! We restored a nearly perfect Sheaffer Admiral body with a new ink sac, O-ring and point seal. Then we slapped a lonely Sheaffer Statesman cap on it. All of it got the loving wet sanding treatment! Except for a barely visible hairline crack in the cap near the left top side of the clip, this vintage Frankenpen doesn't have any scars or bolts or...well, it does have an aversion to fire. Fire bad! The 14k gold open nib writes a buttery smooth fine line! What's not to love?! 14.1cm capped.
