Vintage Pens: Parker 51
Vintage Pens: 2784 Parker 51
Buckskin Beige is the formal name for this slightly rarer color double-jewel Parker 51! This one is a stunner. We bought it as part of a dedicated Parker collection that was in immaculate condition. This vintage pen's former owner either restored this pen himself or had it professionally restored with a new diaphragm. It fills perfectly and is really clean. No ink came out when we tested it with water. The cap is nearly flawless. The pinstripes form pyramids at the top of the cap. The imprint says "1/8 14k Gold Filled / Made in U.S.A." The hood, barrel and blind cap are nearly as good as the cap, showing only slight wear. The pen is date coded 1948. The blind cap is about half a shade lighter than the barrel and hood, which isn't uncommon in these early plastics. The 14k gold nib writes a super juicy smooth broad line that makes us second guess putting this pen up for sale. 13.7cm capped.
