Vintage Pens: Parker Vacumatic
Vintage Pens: 3036 Parker Vacumatic
Rare red marbled Parker Vacumatics are pretty hard to find these days, but we proudly restored this one to excellent working order. It has great barrel clarity, in addition to a new diaphragm. Yes, one Albert Vannucci purchased this pen in 1937. Yet, it shouldn't be enough to make one turn their nose up a this hard-to-find double jewel design. There are no cracks! A few scratches and wear from use are visible. The clip has brassing and some wavy wear, which is very visible in the photo when you click the headline. Still, the clip is on tightly, and the rest of the pen is pretty nice. The 14k gold nib writes a nice medium line with only light feedback, particularly on high ascenders and deep descenders. Considered a "major" compared to an oversized "Maxima," it is much wider than the 1940s Vac Majors. 12.2cm capped.
