Vintage Pens: Conklin Endura
Vintage Pens: 3066 Conklin Endura
The one thing Conklin got way better than Parker and Sheaffer in the 1920s was color. Have you ever seen the amazing texture and color of one of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" paintings in real life? They are stunning, and the swirling blue of this medium/standard size Conklin Endura looks almost identical! Orange paint (mostly) remains in the accent rings on the cap and barrel. There are no cracks, either. This vintage pen has been fully restored with a new ink sac. The clip and cap band have some brassing. Writing a fine line, the original nib and feed have a little feedback. You can see a deep scratch on the top tine of the 14k gold nib when you click the headline, but that is only a scratch—not a crack. The barrel has a strong factory imprint. 12.6cm capped.
