Vintage Pens: Gold Bond Fountain Pen
Vintage Pens: 3135 Gold Bond Fountain Pen
Who was Katherine Harper in 1930s? Aviatrix? Journalist? Secretary? Teacher? We might never know, but she did write with a Gold Bond "Stonite" fountain pen that is about the same size as a Parker Duofold Jr. We restored it with a new ink sac, and it is ready to serve once again. Although it is pretty heavily discolored in the celluloid and ebonite section, it is in good cosmetic condition. No cracks, minimal wear and minimal brassing...mostly only on the filling lever. Its original 14k gold nib writes an extra-fine line with a little flex and feedback. 11.2cm capped.
