Vintage Pens: Gold Bond Fountain Pen
Vintage Pens: 3139 Gold Bond Fountain Pen
The National Pen Company was large pen manufacturer in Chicago in the 1920s and early 1930s. It owned several subbrands such as Diamond Medal and Gold Bond. Our Gold Bond pen is made of an early green celluloid. We restored it with a new ink sac. The imprint is strong and there are no cracks. It does have brassing on its clip and the celluloid in the photo on top of the lever is bulging just a little. The name "V.F. Stevens" is engraved on it but actually easy to overlook. Writes a fine line with roughly size 3 Warranted 14k gold nib. 11.9cm capped.
