Vintage Pens: Sheaffer Sentinel
Vintage Pens: 3399 Sheaffer Sentinel
If Esterbrooks represent the baseline for pens in the 1950s, Sheaffer Sentinel snorkels represent the pinnacle. The most over-engineered filling system ever created, we adore the Sheaffer snorkel. We restored this one with a new ink sac, O-ring and point seal. Gently used, it comes with a working, matching pencil that still has its "chalk mark" price on the barrel. Its two-toned 14k gold Triumph nib is marked F5, but we find the nib writes more of a firm extra-fine line with a little feedback. Set comes complete with its box and papers!
