Vintage Pens: Parker Depression Set
Vintage Pens: 3703 Parker Depression Set
Gaze deeply into the bronze flecks on our Parker Depression-era pen-and-pencil set, and you will find beautiful glittering sparkles, unfazed by age. To cope with the Great Depression, Parker continued what was effectively a slender line of Duofolds (no longer called Duofolds) with exotic color patterns. We don't know what this set's color pattern was called, as we've never previously seen it. Although some of the dicoloration is pretty obvious, the pen and pencil are both in very good physical condition without any cracks or glaring flaws. The pen has been restored with a new ink sac, and the pencil still appears to work. This set was made in Canada. Click the headline for close-ups. The 14k gold nib writes a stunningly smooth, wet, juicy medium line and flexes all the way to 1.5mm! A rare, semi-flexible nib from Parker.
