At the turn of the century, Conklin was one of the only "self-filling" pens with an internal bladder. Our Conklin "G" 3 has a 1903 patent imprint that is very crisp. This vintage pen looks like it is in nearly mint condition...until you look really closely. We restored the pen with a new ink sac. Its slip-cap is crack free, but a very close inspection shows that it had a clip that had been broken off. You will write a great semi-flex line with the original 14k gold nib size #4. The line flexes from an extra fine to nearly 2mm. Click the headline for a close-up, and you'll see a hairline crack from the section up to the "L" in the "Toledo." Also of note, the cresent on the filling unit has no imprint. It is a beautiful slender pen. 13cm capped.
