Vintage Pens: Sheaffer 46 Special-ish

Vintage Pens: 4136 Sheaffer 46 Special-ish
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: Stub
Price: $175.00
(IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT TO ME THAT WHILE THIS IS STILL A VERY RARE NIB AND CAP, THEY ARE MISMATCHED AND NOT A TRUE 46 SPECIAL. YET, the parts alone are still worth the price.) Holy cow have we got a good one for you today! Straight outta the 1920s is this hard-to-find Sheaffer 46 Special with the rare "Sheaffer-Clip" pocket clip and a rarer factory stub nib! Run and click that headline for close-ups. No cracks, minimal wear! Fully restored with a new ink sac. We find that those not used to stub nibs might take a little getting used to this pen. Once you find the correct angle it works well with variation from extra-fine to about 1mm. Its inkfeed looks original, too. On the flat bottom of the barrel is a 4 imprinted off center. Its barrel imprint is crisp and legible. 13.5cm capped.
