Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Grey pearl makes for a great color on a Parker Vacumatic Major, such as this vintage pen. Restored with a new diaphragm, it is ready for duties as a daily writer. Its barrel imprint is a clear, stating it was made in the 3rd quarter of 1945. No cracks, only light wear from use. The "clear" celluloid is darkly ambered, which makes it difficult to see the ink level. There's wear to the nickel trim of the cap band. We'd call it brassing...if there was brass underneath. It has a line of scarring in the blank initial plate. The oddest thing about the pen's appearance to us is that the cap and blind cap have broader grey pearl lines than the barrel. Its 14k gold nib writes a smooth medium line when you find the sweet spot. 12.8cm capped.
