Vintage Pens: Esterbrook Dollar Pen
Vintage Pens: 4375 Esterbrook Dollar Pen
Esterbrook Dollar Pens are always a little bit of a rare treat, but check out the rare triple-incised bands at the bottom of the cap. Click the headline for a close-up. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. The outside of the cap and barrel show a little wear from use. No cracks and the clip is on tightly. We missed it initially, but there's a pock mark on the flat tail of the barrel. Cigarette burn? Not sure. You'll write a firm, fine line with its upgraded 9556 nib. These were Esterbrook's top-of-the-line nibs. Of course, if you don't like it, the best part about these pens is that the nibs screw out, and there are at least 3 dozen alternate point sizes to choose from. Plus, this comes with a matching click pencil. Actually, pencil tail cap seems married to the barrel. Works. .9mm lead. Pen measures 12.1cm capped.
