Vintage Pens: Parker VS

Vintage Pens: 4768 Parker VS
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $75.00
Enter the Parker VS. It was one of Parker's last open-nibbed pens of the 1940s. VS is surrounded in a bit of controversy. Pen scholars now debate whether it meant "Vacumatic Successor," "Victory Successor" or "Victory Series" as we first learned about the pen. It came out as the famed Vacumatics were being phased out, and many in the pen community are leaning toward "Vacumatic Successor." In any event, ours is fully restored with a new ink sac and in excellent working order. Its barrel and nib date codes match for 1947. It has the black inkfeed, not the clear lucite. You will write a very nice, wet extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. There is a little feedback, which is typical of most XF nibs. No dents or cracks, but there is a little wear from use. 14cm capped.
