Call us naive or inexperienced if you want. However, we’ve never previously seen a Montblanc Classique Base. We have seen many Montblanc LeGrand and 149 desk bases. This pen holder for the standard Classique style pen is a first for us. It should hold any ballpoint, rollerball or fountain pen of the Classique style. Spin the trumpet 360 degrees. Yet, the angle of the pen-holding trumpet is fixed in place. You won’t find much wear on this desk base. There are a couple of small, shallow scratches hidden here and there, but nothing stands out. Made in Germany, we think this Montblanc Classique Base stands out as a great accessory for your home or office. Each side is about 3-inches long. It stands about 4 inches tall.
