Pre-Owned Pens: Sheaffer Targa

What we think of as modern Sheaffer started with a big hit in the Sheaffer Targa. Released in the late 1970s and popular into the 1980s, these were the rare fountain pens to succeed in the ballpoint era. Our preowned pen shows only minimal wear from use. Zoom in on the top of the cap. We aren’t sure it is seated properly. However, nothing we can do to it lowers it that tiny fraction we think it should. It also doesn’t seem to be climbing any higher, either. Takes Sheaffer cartridges or converters but comes with neither. You will write a buttery smooth extra-fine line with its palladium silver nib. 13.8cm capped.
