Description

One of the more elusive Parker Vacumatics pens for collectors is the Parker Imperial Set (Larger size). We like to think of this as the “bridge” pen that transitioned Parker pens from art deco Vacumatics to 51s. Our vintage pen has a 1st quarter 1940 date code. It has a stunning amber pearl barrel, like a Vacumatic–only it has a longer, black threaded section. Yet, it has the stunning gold-filled cap similar to a Parker 51–only this cap is threaded! Parker made two sizes of this pen, and this is the slightly longer and wider version. No dents or scratches in the cap. Only light wear on the barrel. Fully restored with a new diaphragm. Its platinum plating on the 14k gold nib is starting to wear off. You will write an extra-fine line, as the tip gets a little stuck on ascenders and descenders. Its matching pencil is in likewise immaculate condition and still works. Twist the tail cap to advance and retract its .9mm lead. Under the cap, you find a hardened eraser and spare leads. Our Parker Imperial Set (Larger size) comes with its original box!
