Description
There’s no such thing as the “Parker Vacumatic 1942”. We use that name to let you know the year in which this vintage pen was born. Imagine all that it might have experienced with the United States just entering World War II. Maybe it was purchased by a riveting Rosie or a young serviceman leaving home for the first time. The possibilities are varied and intriguing. Anyhow, we restored this Parker Vacumatic 1942 with a new diaphragm. It shows some wear, but there are no cracks or egregious blemishes. We couldn’t get its filling unit to seat quite where it had before. As such, the blind cap is a little off from a smooth, flush closure on the pen. You will write a dry, extra-fine line with just a hint of flex, if you are very careful and gentle. 13cm capped.
