Vintage Pens: Sheaffer Junior Flattop

For the wiley sake of SEO manipulation, we are calling this a Sheaffer Junior Flattop. However, our vintage pen is really a Sheaffer Lifetime Jr. flattop. We restored it with a new ink sac. It is far from cosmetically perfect. There is a hairline crack in the lip of the cap. The discoloration of the jade celluloid is perfectly obvious. We polished it up, which makes it look nice but hides the otherwise obvious brassing. Using a touch of rubber cement, we tried to get the section to be a tighter fit in the barrel. You will write a fairly smooth extra-extra fine line. We feel safe in calling this an accountant’s nib. We suspect this pen was made in the 1930s, as it has a two-tone nib and updated ink feed. That or those are replacement parts under the lifetime warranty. 11.5cm capped.
