Pre-Owned Pens: 5282 Krone Abraham Lincoln
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $1,299.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5282: Krone: Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln is arguably the United States of America's greatest president. He preserved the union of the states while putting an end to slavery. His post-Civil War vision of America was "With malice toward none and with charity for all." Sadly, the 16th president was assassinated before he could have seen the vision enacted. Krone pays tribute to the man with the Krone Abraham Lincoln fountain pen. This new old stock pen has never been used. It is a lovely ripple pattern on orange hard rubber. On the cap is an amethyst that conceals a piece of actual DNA from Abraham Lincoln. The DNA is recreated from a strand of Lincoln's hair that had been preserved. Yes, in theory, this pen can help you create a Jurassic Park...only with Abraham Lincolns instead of dinosaurs. Click the headline for close-ups. Complete with original boxes and papers.

Vintage Pens: 5430 Waterman C/F
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: FLEXI
Price: $125.00  Was: $149.99
Vintage Pens: 5430: Waterman: C/F
Cartridge fillers are not a new phenomena in fountain pens. The first ones date back to around the turn of the 20th century. However, those early ones were not entirely practical and prone to their glass and clay cartridges breaking. On the American market, Waterman C/F pens introduced what we have come to know as the first cartridge pens with disposable plastic cartridges. These pens were Waterman's last hit in the 1950s and until the company was revitalized in the 1980s. This rare New Old Stock set is unused and pristine. From the "Fine Flex" chalk mark on the barrel of the pen to 4 unopened, still waxed shut original cartridges, this vintage pen belongs in a museum. Click the headline for close-ups. The steel nib doesn't feel flexi to us, but that is how it was advertised.

You're gonna need a bigger pen case. That's right "The Shark" Greg Norman has his own limited edition LeBoeuf fountain pen. Ours is numbered 0668. This is the modern revival of the classic LeBoeuf pen company that first invented the celluloid pen. The PGA champion's autograph is on the black cap of this otherwise gold plated pen sporting an alternating design of plain stripes and a barley pattern. At the top of the cap is an opal, perhaps a nod to his Aussie roots. Its two-tone 18k gold nib writes a smooth fine line. Click the headline for a close-up. You can fill it with its included screw-in standard international converter or like cartridges. The pen looks great overall, though it has a little light shop wear. 14cm capped.

Once it was carved into shape by hand, it was guilded in gold and the green-glass enamel was painstakingly applied layer by layer.
