We've been lucky to get any number of these big boys into the shop lately. Here it is, the boss of the boardroom, the Montblanc 149. It is the world's most recognizable luxury pen. Our pen is in excellent condition, with a smooth working piston filler. Its only significant flaws are some scratches on the black dome with the logo. No cracks. Light wear from use, otherwise. We can send photos of the scratches, if you like. Our favorite part about this pen is its big, fat, smooth tri-tone 18k gold nib that writes a broad line. An excellent signature pen and daily writer for those who are bold writers. There is a serial number in the cap band, "Pix" under the clip and a threaded brass bit under the blind cap. 14.7cm capped.

Vintage Montblanc fans ought to start salivating over this fully restored beauty. It is the Montblanc 206 in the coral color. We replaced the ink sac and have it ready to rock your world. It is about the size of a modern Montblanc 146. You might find a little brassing, but there are no dents, cracks or deep scratches. Just light wear from past use. Great barrel imprint. We think this is of Danish production but we aren't certain. You will write an extra-fine line with some feedback. Technically, if you go really slowly and gently, you can get some flex out of it. The Montblanc 254 looks more like a modern pen than a vintage pen, but it likely is a vintage pen, as it was made in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Our pen is in excellent condition. No cracks or deep scratches. Just light wear from use. The piston filler is still smooth. You will write a nice extra-fine to fine line with its 14k gold nib. Click the headline for close-ups. Luxury finds a definition in this sterling silver Montblanc Classique Solitaire. We love the barley design etched into the silver and the golden highlight rings and pocket clip. Guaranteed authentic, this came from a dedicated MB collector who only bought from Montblanc retail locations in the 1980s, '90s and 2000s. This pen has serial number EG102734 and "metal" written under the clip. The silver shows a little light wear. The worst blemish is a very small ding in the barrel that is hard to see but visible in the photo...in the lower part of the middle of the barrel. Comes with a new blue refill. 13.6cm.

Everyone talks about the Montblanc 149 as being the uber-pen of the boardroom, but we love the Montblanc 146 size better. This is still a large pen, by most measures, but it fits the hand much more comfortably. The piston filler operates very smoothly. Smoother still is its two-tone 14k gold nib. You will write a buttery smooth medium line with just a touch of line variation. Almost a stub but not quite. A lovely writer. No cracks or substantial wear. Comes from a dedicated Montblanc collector. There is a serial number in the cap band but no Pix under the clip. Guaranteed authentic. 14.6cm capped.

Who says highlighting has to be dull or basic? Step up your game with the luxury of a Montblanc LeGrand 166 Document Marker. Guaranteed authentic, our preowned writing instrument sports a serial number but was made before "Pix" was included under the clip. A little wear from past use can be seen, but there are no cracks nor any deep scratches. We include a brand-new highlighter refill when you purchase it. We just didn't want it to dry out by installing to early when this photo was taken. 14.5cm capped.

Check out our first coral Montblanc 204 fountain pen! Click the headline for close-ups! From its button-filler to its stub-like 14k gold nib, there is so much to explore. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. The cap and barrel show a little wear from use. The clip has some brassing, and there are a couple little blemishes in the cap band. The nib looks like new, but the stub-ish point on the nib looks stunning. Surprisingly enough, the nib writes a mostly fine line with a shade of line variation. However, it has just enough give in it to get a nice, thick 1mm line out of it. It is a firm nib, so go easy on it until you get the hang of it.

Montblanc Starwalker pens broke the luxury pen company's usual mold for daily use pens. We especially love these rubberized models with platinum plated trim. Our preowned pen still looks almost new and feels fresh, without any tackiness to the feel. The only possible flaw to the pen is the engraved "M. Olson" on the pocket clip. We installed a brand-new rollerball refill in blue. One great feature to this pen is that the pocket clip also screws on to the tail to minimize wear. 14cm capped.
