Alexander Dumas gave us such great stories as "The Three Musketeers," "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Corsican Brothers." Mont Blanc pays tribute to the great French author with the limited edition Writer's Series Montblanc Alexandre Dumas fountain pen. It is a fitting tribute with a marble and gold look, a sword on the pocket clip and a fleur du lis on its 18k gold nib. This pen has the correct signature on the cap and an engraving for "Wm. P. Kinney," too. The pen works well with its piston filler. The price is heavily discounted on account of the engraved cap. You'll write a smooth, juicy medium line that some might contend borders on broad. Sorry we don't have the original box and papers. Numbered "16126/20000 N." 13.5cm capped.

There's nothing like a little scandal to get a pen collector's heart aflutter. This ballpoint version of the Writer's Series Montblanc Alexandre Dumas has the wrong autograph! A mistake at the factory Alexandre's son's autograph on the pen. Given they had the same name, it was an honest mistake. Nevertheless, Montblanc recalled these pens to be replaced with the correct signature. This one, clearly, never got back into Montblanc's hands. It is in great shape, too, with only light wear from use. Twist the tail cap to extend or retract the ballpoint refill. Our refill works and writes a nice blue line. Pen is numbered 08664 of 16000. 13cm.

Advertising pens don't usually make their way on to our website. However, we think this is an exception you will love! Our hard-to-find Montblanc 334 1/2 fountain pen features the company logo on the top of the cap (instead of the usual Montblanc logo) along with the company name on the side of the cap: Hamburg-Sudamerikanishe Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft. For those who don't speak German, the "Hamburg-South America Steamship Company." We aren't certain, but we think this pen is from the early 1950s. From the collection of a dedicated Montblanc enthusiast, this pen was restored a few years ago and still works well. It has wear and brassing from use but no cracks. The underside of the barrel looks as if it might have a crack, but the barrel is smooth and holds ink well. You will write a buttery smooth line with its 14k STUB NIB. Extra-fine to about 1mm wide! We love it when modern pencils go for a vintage look. To celebrate the company's 100th anniversary, the Montblanc 100 Anniversary pencils were designed to look like old-fashioned "safety" pens that were similar to the earliest Mont Blanc pens. This ballpoint pen saw little use and has minimal wear. Numbered 04053 of 10000, our preowned pencil remains in excellent working order. We believe this pencil to use .7mm leads. It has some spares in the tail along with a barely used, still-fresh eraser. 12.8cm.

We don't normally get so lucky as to have vintage Montblanc pens, but we are very excited to present this Montblanc 234 1/2 G. We think it is from the 1940s, but we aren't certain. This pen was restored about 10 years ago by Montblanc super star Osman Sumer. The piston is still working well, though a little stiff. On the down side, you can see the tail of this barrel has some strange discoloration and possible weakness.. On the plus side, it has a factory oblique double broad nib! The nib matches the marking on the blind cap. Made of 14k gold, this left-foot oblique writes a very juicy line with some nice line variation. It takes a little while to get used to it and find its sweet spot, but it is a blast to write with. No cracks or deep scratches. Click the headline for close-ups. 12.5cm capped.

Among our favorite Montblanc designs is the Montblanc Czar Nikolai II. The stunning malachite green and vermeil look fantastic together. Part of a limited edition series, this brings incredible elegance to luxury pencils. For those not familiar with vermeil, it means the pen is made of solid sterling silver and plated with gold. Our pen has serial number KM203324. We guarantee the pencil is authentic. Twist the tail cap to advance its .7mm lead. Comes with a partially used eraser and spare leads inside the pencil. No cracks or deep scratches. However, it does have a little very light scratching and wear to the vermeil barrel. 14cm.

Montblanc Starwalker pens really modernized the stale look of Montblanc in the early 2000s. These Rubberized Starwalkers were especially attractive and functional. The slate gray rubberized panels helped to grip the pen and contrasted nicely with the platinum plating. One of the downsides of these pens is that the rubber started getting sticky with time. The GREAT NEWS with this specific pen is that it is still dry and perfect for daily writing. Only light wear on the pen. We love the floating Mont Blanc logo in the tail cap that remains tightly affixed to the pen. Guaranteed authentic. Complete with working blue ballpoint refill. 13.9cm.
