Playwright George Bernard Shaw gets his due with this exquisite Montblanc Writers' Series ballpiont pen. Best known for his plays "Pygmalion" ("My Fair Lady" to Broadway and Movies fans); "Major Barbara;" "Androcles and the Lion;" and "Caesar & Cleopatra," Shaw was one of Ireland's most famous playwrights. Our limited edition pen is preowned and gently used. It has only the lightest of wear with no dents, deep scratches or other significant blemishes. Franz Kafka wrote surrealist fiction with stories such as "The Metamorphosis." Montblanc added Kafka to its Writer's Series in 2004. We love the deep-red celluloid of the cap and barrel. The sterling silver trim is really nice, too. Our preowned luxury pen is in excellent condition with minimal wear. Twist the tail cap of the pen to advance and retreat the working black refill. There are so many cool things about this Montblanc 20 fountain pen; we don't know where to begin. Pre-World-War-II Montblancs are difficult to find. We restored this orange-hard-rubber vintage pen with a new ink sac. One of our favorite features is that the blind cap on the tail unscrews but DOES NOT come off the pen. When fully unscrewed, it serves as the button for the button filler! Just screw it back down to make it a normal blind cap, again. No cracks, a little brassing & some wear. The barrel imprint is a bit faded out, but you can still see "Simplo" on the top line. We fell in love with the malachite cap on this limited edition Montblanc Czar Nikolai II the minute we laid eyes on it. Such beautiful contrast, too, with the vermeil barrel and accents. Our preowned luxury pen is in excellent condition with only the lightest traces of wear. Its piston operates smoothly. It has its serial number and "metal2" on the clip band. We've been lucky to get any number of these big boys into the shop lately. Here it is, the boss of the boardroom, the Montblanc 149. It is the world's most recognizable luxury pen. Our pen is in excellent condition, with a smooth working piston filler. Its only significant flaws are some scratches on the black dome with the logo. No cracks. Light wear from use, otherwise. We can send photos of the scratches, if you like. Our favorite part about this pen is its big, fat, smooth tri-tone 18k gold nib that writes a broad line. An excellent signature pen and daily writer for those who are bold writers. There is a serial number in the cap band, "Pix" under the clip and a threaded brass bit under the blind cap. 14.7cm capped.

Everyone talks about the Montblanc 149 as being the uber-pen of the boardroom, but we love the Montblanc 146 size better. This is still a large pen, by most measures, but it fits the hand much more comfortably. The piston filler operates very smoothly. Smoother still is its two-tone 14k gold nib. You will write a buttery smooth medium line with just a touch of line variation. Almost a stub but not quite. A lovely writer. No cracks or substantial wear. Comes from a dedicated Montblanc collector. There is a serial number in the cap band but no Pix under the clip. Guaranteed authentic. 14.6cm capped.

There's nothing like a little scandal to get a pen collector's heart aflutter. This ballpoint version of the Writer's Series Montblanc Alexandre Dumas has the wrong autograph! A mistake at the factory Alexandre's son's autograph on the pen. Given they had the same name, it was an honest mistake. Nevertheless, Montblanc recalled these pens to be replaced with the correct signature. This one, clearly, never got back into Montblanc's hands. It is in great shape, too, with only light wear from use. Twist the tail cap to extend or retract the ballpoint refill. Our refill works and writes a nice blue line.
