Pre-Owned Pens: 6617: Wancher: Dream Pen Rising Sun Maki-e
Bright light gleams like the sun off the brilliant Wancher Dream Pen Rising Sun maki-e fountain pen. Our pen appears to be in mint or near-mint condition and never used. It doesn't show any staining from ink. We love the dragon winding its way down the pen. Click the headline for close-ups. Its 18k gold nib is marked "M" for medium. We have not dipped it, as we think this pen is new old stock. We wish we had the box and papers. Includes its original standard international converter. 15.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 6619 Wancher Shizuku--Earth
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $149.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 6619: Wancher: Shizuku--Earth
Try finding a more Spring-friendly color scheme than the swirling pastels of this Wancher Shizuku Earth fountain pen. Instead of a traditional gold or steel nib, it uses a glass nib. However, it fills with an included converter...standard international. There doesn't appear to be a speck of ink on or in this pen, leading us to believe it is new old stock. No trace of wear either. It comes from the collection of best-selling author Bill Adler Jr. We think the tip of the glass nib is fine, yet, we haven't tried writing with it so as to not mess with its N.O.S. status. Click the headline for close-ups. 13.8cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 6616: Wancher: Dream Pen Lunar Eclipse
Another amazing Japanese luxury pen has graced our pages. This time it is the Wancher Dream Pen Lunar Eclipse. We believe it was made by a urushi artist named Bokashi. It is a beautiful pre-owned pen that we believe has never been used. There doesn't seem to be any trace of ink on the nib or feed. Click the headline for close-ups. As it appears to be NOS, we didn't dip its 18k gold nib. The nib is marked "M" for medium. We do not have its box or papers, but it does come from the author Bill Adler Jr.'s incredible collection. It is a nice oversized pen. 15.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 6618 Wancher Dream Pen Diamond Dust Raden
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $499.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 6618: Wancher: Dream Pen Diamond Dust Raden
Click the headline for close-ups. We were so focused on capturing the stellar beauty of this Wancher Dream Pen's Diamond Dust Raden, the nib didn't come out very well in the main photo. However, the close-ups show its 18k gold radiance. Our incredible pen looks almost new with minimal--if any--wear. The way the light catches the maki-e and raden design is breath-taking. We don't think this is the original Wancher box to this pen, as we got it from a different collection. Yet, it is so nice, we think it should be. You will write a firm, medium line with a little feedback from its 18k gold nib. An exquisite pen for your collection. This pen comes with a standard international converter. It is a large pen at 15.5cm capped.
Inkwells and Blotters: 6587 Stephen’s Inkwell
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $49.99
Inkwells and Blotters: 6587: Stephen’s: Inkwell
Since the dawn of wet ink, people have been looking for ways to keep their supply of it safe while traveling. We are thinking that some time in the 1940s or '50s, when aluminum became more available, the folks at "Stephen's" created this special metal case for a bottle of ink. Both ends screw together to create a protective shell for a glass bottle of ink. We do not have the original bottle, but we found this included bottle that fits better than most. Click the headline for close ups. There is a dent in the top under the name "Stephens." The rest of the casing shows wear from use.
Vintage Pens: 6528 Gold Starry 237
Filling Mechanism: Safety)
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: SF
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 6528: Gold Starry: 237
Bonjour! Meet an impressive vintage pen from France. This is the Gold Starry 237. It is an oversized safety filler from either the 19-teens or '20s. The seals on this pen are long gone, and it will leak all over the place if you try to fill it. However, we fixed its advance and retract mechanism with a little Yankee ingenuity. It definitely wasn't how it was done at the factory, but it works. You can twist the tail knob to advance or retract its large 18k gold nib. You can still write with this pen on a dip. It writes a medium line, if you don't gently engage its semi-flex super powers. However you can get a fine to nearly 1mm wide line, if you are careful and slow. We believe the accessory pocket clip to be made of sterline silver, though it is not marked silver. Aside from a little chip in the lip of the cap, this pen is in great cosmetic condition. Click the headline for close-ups. 12cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 6526 Wirt Ringtop
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $69.99
Vintage Pens: 6526: Wirt: Ringtop
Paul E. Wirt pens were the most popular of the late 1800s. They continued on into the 20th century, and this is a Wirt ringtop from the 1920s. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. We also worked to de-oxidize the chocolate hazing. We didn't get it back to perfect black, but it nice and the chasing is clearly visible. You will write a really nice, smooth extra-fine to fine line. It has a tiny bit of flex, but we wouldn't call it a semi-flex nib. No cracks or deep scratches. 11cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 6001 Venus Pen Set
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $49.99
Vintage Pens: 6001: Venus: Pen Set
New Old Stock pens are always fun, even it they are from a lower tier. This Venus fountain pen bares a distinct resemblance to the Parker 51. Certainly, the hooded nib was all the rage. Unlike a 51, this pen is a lever-filler, and we just replaced the ink sac. You will see a little wear on the pen from rattling around an old drawer or box for the past 70 years or so. As it is N.O.S., we haven't dipped or written with it. Its matching ballpoint pen has a click top to engage the non-working vintage refill. Just under the clip is the refill release. A fun early ballpoint pen. Too bad they don't make these refills, any more.
