Vintage Pens: 3204 Parker Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $175.00
Vintage Pens: 3204: Parker: Vacumatic
In 1929, Parker set out on a quest to fill a fountain pen without using a traditional ink sac. They spent huge sums on research and design to create this delightfully inventive system that uses vacuum pressure to flood the now hollow barrel of the pen. This double jewel Parker Vacumatic is from 1941. It is an earlier model of the pen with an aluminum speedline filler. The vintage pen has a new diaphragm and a very clear but slightly ambered barrel. The barrel imprint is weak, but there is no brassing. The cap has some scratches and wear, but no cracks. Click the headline to get a close up of the original 14k gold nib that writes a smooth XF to F line with a faint hint of feedback. To better explain, that feedback is more like perfect responsiveness with a still smooth nib. 13.2cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 3196 Sheaffer Balance
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $149.99
SOLD!
Vintage Pens: 3196: Sheaffer: Balance
Grey swirls and flakes with red veins was a very distinctly 1930s design. Our Sheaffer Balance is the standard size (neither oversized nor small/junior) exemplar of Depression-era art in industrial design. It'll turn heads. No cracks, a strong imprint and no real scratching. Its only flaw is some significant wear on the cap band. This vintage pen has been restored with a new ink sac. Its heart and soul is the size 5 "Feather Touch" two-tone 14k gold nib, which writes an exceptionally smooth extra-fine line. Click the headline for a close-up of the nib. A rarer color pattern for Sheaffer. 13.9cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3195 Sheaffer Sovereign
Filling Mechanism: Snorkel
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 3195: Sheaffer: Sovereign
Brighten up your life with Fiesta Red in your Sheaffer snorkel. YES! That Fiesta Red! One of the rarest colors for the Sheaffer snorkel line. Our Sheaffer Sovereign fountain pen has been fully restored and is great working order. The pen even has its original 1950s price tag! The cap and barrel are nearly flawless. The section has two obvious scratches, but that is pretty much it. Even the pen cap is rare with a wavy line design. Its two-tone 14k gold nib looks like an extra fine but writes a firm medium line. PLUS, you get a fiesta red Sheaffer's mechanical pencil. We aren't convinced it is a true Sovereign, but it does have its original pricing chalk mark! The cap also features a rare window pane design. In good working order with a .9mm lead and "fresh" unused but hardened blue Sheaffer eraser under the cap. New Old Stock. Pen measures 14.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3188 Mont Blanc Watch
Filling Mechanism: Hand Wind)
Era: 1980-present
Price: $849.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 3188: Mont Blanc: Watch
Branching out a bit, we are offering this genuine Montblanc Watch for a close Montblanc-collecting friend of ours. It is a Swiss made time piece. It is hand-wound, the good old-fashioned way. Our favorite detail is its winding meter at the top of the face, which lets you know how many hours are left before the spring is wound down. You can get a full 40 hours per wind, according to its meter. On the bottom of the face is a second hand and dial. This friend wore this watch in his rotation, and it has a little wear, but there are no scratches in the crystal. It seems to keep good time, but we are not watch experts or restoration people. We are selling it on good faith that all is well, and it is sold as-is, no returns.

Price: $299.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2962: Montegrappa: Memoria Pinstripe
When it comes to sterling silver pens, don't overlook the Montegrappa Memoria Pinstripe ballpoint. Nearly twice as wide as a Montblanc Classique Solitaire and cheaper than a used LeGrand in black resin, the Memoria is a dignified, luxurious writing instrument for a bargain. Italian silversmiths sure know their stuff. No dents or dings, but light surface scratching. A large black "jewel" graces the tail. The tail twists to extend and retract the black, Parker-style ballpoint refill, which is still working and likely barely used. 13.8cm

We can get lost in the swirls of blue in the cap and barrel. Plus, sterling silver accents the remainder of the pen. Advance and retract the blue, Parker-style refill for your writing convenience. Nice width and weight help make it a good pen for gliding along the page without cramping your hand. 13.8cm.
