Early Krone luxury pens harkened back to the Parker Duofold button filler. Our Krone Hyperbole is one of those pens, which we had fully restored with a new ink sac at Krone's factory. The nice thing about these preowned luxury pens is that Krone guarantees them for life. So when the sac finally gives out, just send it back to them for a free repair! We like how this model looks like old-fashioned hard candy. The silver trim is nice, too. You will write a nice medium line with a little feedback...even though the 18k gold nib is marked XF for extra fine. 11.7cm capped.

Words such as legendary get thrown around far too loosely, but Babe Ruth was, unequivocally legendary. A gifted pitcher at the start of his career and a remarkable hitter for his entire career, there are few who have surpassed any of his stats. The Krone Babe Ruth fountain pen pays tribute to the Sultan of Swat in fitting fashion. Its display box is wrapped in flannel that looks like the Babe's New York Yankees uniform. The pen sports his likeness in sterling silver ripping a homer out of the stadium known as the House that Ruth built. A sliver of one of his actual bats is preserved in the "jewel" at the top of the pocket clip. New Old Stock, this pen was never inked or used. Numbered 8 of only 288. We aren't sure how or why but the included ink bottle is half empty. The velvet slip that holds the pen seems to have aged, hardened and cracked at its bottom. Everything else is perfect. Abraham Lincoln is arguably the United States of America's greatest president. He preserved the union of the states while putting an end to slavery. His post-Civil War vision of America was "With malice toward none and with charity for all." Sadly, the 16th president was assassinated before he could have seen the vision enacted. Krone pays tribute to the man with the Krone Abraham Lincoln fountain pen. This new old stock pen has never been used. It is a lovely ripple pattern on orange hard rubber. On the cap is an amethyst that conceals a piece of actual DNA from Abraham Lincoln. The DNA is recreated from a strand of Lincoln's hair that had been preserved.
