Pre-Owned Pens with Nib Size: XF

We wish we could tell you that this Rotring 600 is one of the classic ones from longer ago, but it is much more modern. You can tell by the crack in the barrel near the tail. You can see the brass beneath the black. Click the headline for close-ups. We've never seen a metal pen crack before. Otherwise, this pen is nearly perfect. The crack won't effect the writing. It has a firm, extra-fine steel nib that is reasonably smooth for an extra-fine nib. It fills with standard international cartridges. There is a silvery disc on the tail that has "EF" in black letters, indicating the nib size. 14cm capped.

With the threaded tail, the cap screws on securely to make it a full-size pen when writing. Our preowned pen looks almost like new. Minimal wear, if any. You will write an extra-fine line with its 14k gold H-F nib. It is a very firm nib that has feedback, if you write with any pressure. BUT, it is smooth if you don't use any pressure at all. So extra fine, it is more like an accountant's nib. We think it is Sailor proprietary cartridges only. We include a few spares that are older and slightly dried out. 10.5cm capped.

If you like handsome, rugged, oversized pens, the Monte Verde Giant Sequoia is for you. Our preowned pen comes complete with its original boxes. The pen is in great cosmetic conditions with only light wear from use. Also included is a working standard international converter. The steel nib is marked fine, but we find it writes a nice, firm extra-fine line. Easy to grip for hands with arthritis and other soreness issues. 14.2cm capped.

The Montblanc 254 looks more like a modern pen than a vintage pen, but it likely is a vintage pen, as it was made in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Our pen is in excellent condition. Crayola calls this color "Sea Green." And we will stick by our favorite crayons on this Sailor F Mini Fountain Pen. The neat thing about these unusual looking pens is that the oversized cap doubles as a pen extender. The pen is both compact in your breast pocket or briefcase and full length when writing. Unscrew the tiny tail cap to reveal a tiny aerometric filler that still works well. You will write a dry, extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. Light wear from use. Levenger teamed up with Sheaffer to make a new series of pens for the Connaisseur line. Each color of the line was named for one of the most famous seas on the planet. This is the Sheaffer Levenger Connaisseur Mediterranean. It is a handsome sapphire blue with gold-plated trim. Our preowned pen takes modern Sheaffer cartridges and short converters. Unfortunately, we haven't any for this pen. No cracks or serious problems. Only light wear from use. You will write a very nice extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. Smoky blue makes for an elegantly dynamic barrel on our Pelikan Souveran M200 fountain pen. Aside from a little light wear from use, our preowned pen is in excellent condition. Its piston works smoothly, though it is a little reluctant to give up some stubborn green ink. You will write a very nice extra-fine line with its golden alloy nib--even though it is marked "F" for fine. As long as you don't write with any pressure, there is no feedback. Glittering yellow dust swirls through the black acrylic of this really stunning Karas Kustoms Vertex fountain pen. Unlike other Vertex pens that we've seen, this one has an amber "jewel" in the top of the pen. We aren't sure if that is from the factory or a former owner's bedazzling. Sporting minimal wear, this preowned pen comes with a standard international converter. You will write a firm extra-fine line with its steel nib. It does have some feedback, as most extra-fine nibs seem to have. 13.5cm capped.
