Vintage Pens: Eagle Balance

The Sheaffer Pen Company was notoriously litigious back in the day. However, somehow Eagle managed to get away with creating a look-alike pen that we call the Eagle Balance. Aside from a flattened tail end, it looks like a jade Sheaffer Balance. We restored this emerald beauty with a new ink sac. Unfortunately, a lot of gold plating is missing from the metal trim. Otherwise, the pen looks nice. You’ll spot some light wear from use and light discoloration in places. However, there are no cracks. You will write with some nice line variation from extra fine to about 1mm wide. There is a scratchy left-to-right effect, as when crossing a “T”. 12.8cm capped.
