Pre-Owned Pens: Montblanc Solitaire

Sterling silver really improves upon the perfection of the Montblanc Classique fountain pen with the Montblanc Solitaire. Guaranteed authentic, this is an older version of the pen that was made in West Germany! We love the barley design of the cap and barrel. Although this pen is used and closing in on 40 years old, it is in remarkably good shape. There’s a little dimple near the tail and another likely made by the pocket clip. There are some very shallow scratches visible in the cartouche but no engravings. The section ring near the nib has some corrosion, likely from the fairly acidic Montblanc black ink. Please see the gallery photos. It comes with a standard international converter. You will write a nice fine line with its two-tone 18k gold nib. Our Montblanc Solitaire ‘s nib is not buttery smooth, but it isn’t scratchy, either.
