Vintage Pens: English Parker Duofold

Sailing in from across the puddle is this handsome blue English Parker Duofold. We love these vintage pens from the 1950s. Not sold in the U.S., these were strictly a Parker UK creation. Our English Parker Duofold sports some were from use, including some brassing on the gold-plated trim. Its aerometric filler is still in good working order. In the gallery of photos, we show the protective cage instructing 5 squeezes to fill the pen. Collectors of American Parker 51s might get a kick out of this, as 51 collectors are often asking if the instructions say 4 squeezes or 6. Its 14k gold nib can be a little quirky. The left tine sometimes droops out of place, but it pops right back up with a gentle nudge from your thumbnail. We find the pen writes a nice, wet medium line. 14cm capped.
