Vintage Pens: Parker 61 Set

Together for more than 60 years, let’s give it up for this Parker 61 Set. We should look so good after that much time. No dents. No cracks. No deep scratches. No brassing. You’ll only find a little light wear from use. We flushed its classic, Teflon-coated capillary filling system. The only downside for this vintage pen is that it is really challenging to change ink colors, and it is picky about using safe inks by Waterman and Parker. No shimmers nor sheens. You will write a firm, fine line with its 14k gold nib. This nib has been ignored for way too long and needs some breaking in. It has potential to be a great writer, but it needs to get back into the daily practice of writing to loosen up its ink flow. It comes with a matching .9mm twist-action pencil. The pencil comes with a few spare leads and a hardened eraser. Each is engraved with the name Lena Lutz. We “Googled” the name, but there are a lot of Lena Lutzes in the world. The gold-filled caps on the Parker 61 Set feature a small selection of pinstripes followed by a blank space that repeats all around the caps.
