Vintage Pens: Wahl-Eversharp Coronet

Our favorite art deco pen has to be the Wahl-Eversharp Coronet. Its pinstriped, gold-filled cap and barrel rise to spires with cathedral-like black triangle accents. A black, pyramid-like square sits on top of the cap. This vintage pen only has very minor  dimples and scratches. Minimal wear. Looks sharp. We restored it with a new ink sac. Engraved on its cartouche is “Wm. Rusche Jr.” Who we was is a mystery to us. The lever squeezes the sac closed around the 45-degree mark. Don’t force it to something closer to 90-degrees, as it will break the lever. You will write an extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. Feel a little feedback while you do. Our Wahl-Eversharp Coronet measures 12.6cm capped.
