Description

One of the last of the higher-end, consumer-level 35mm film cameras made for everyday use was the Nikon N90s. They came out in 1992 and stayed in production into 2001. It had a fast auto-focus, a blazingly fast light meter and different controls for all kinds of shooting. Aperture priority, shutter-speed priority and auto setting as well as presets for landscapes, portraits, sports, night shots, flash photograph and more. Our Nikon N90s has outer cosmetic wear from use, but it still works well. The light seals are still good, and the shutter speeds are still within spec. Included with the camera body are 4 AA batteries, a strap and a rather impressive Sigma 18mm to 35mm wide-angle lens. The lowest/biggest f-stop for 18mm is f3.5 and at 35mm it is f4.5. The auto-focus drive is a little noisy, but it still works well. We loaded up a roll of Kodak Double X film and set the camera on auto to see how things would turn out. You can see the results for your self with our sample shots that are in the gallery. Clearly, some sunny shots might have benefitted from a polarizer or red filter. We just wanted to see what it could do natively. Not too shabby.
