Description

Burgundy is one of the rarest of the standard-color Parker Vacumatic fountain pens. Better yet, this vintage pen is water clear! Click through the photos to see the astonishing barrel clarity. It also appears to have been made in the first quarter of 1952. American Parker Vacumatics ceased production in 1948. We found this pen with what appears to be a recently installed diaphragm. However, it is so incredibly clear, we aren’t sure who would turn this into a daily driver. It was used at one point, as we cleaned a little ink out of it. No cracks or deep scars. Just light wear from use. The clip spins a little, but it also seems to be on tightly. The 14k gold nib is so extra fine and “tight” we can barely even see what it writes. We’d call it an accountant nib, which it might be, but we haven’t been able to loosen it up. Effectively, this nib CAN’T WRITE. Buyer beware. 12.8cm capped.
