We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

The site uses a few cookies it needs to work: one that protects forms from forgery, one that remembers your cookie choice, and, during checkout, one that links you back to your payment. With your permission (Allow on the cookie banner), it also sets one optional cookie, a random ID with no name or email, to count which pages and pens get looked at. That optional cookie is never set if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and we do not share it with anyone. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; choosing No thanks removes it and deletes what was recorded against it.

How this site counts visits

This site counts visits itself, on its own server, to learn which pages and pens are useful. It uses a few cookies it needs to work (one that protects forms from forgery, one that remembers your cookie choice, and, during checkout, one that links you back to your payment). With your permission (Allow on the cookie banner) it also sets one optional cookie holding a random number, and records pages viewed, searches, clicks and how far a page was scrolled against that number. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; choosing No thanks removes the optional cookie and deletes what was recorded against it. It does not record your name, e-mail address or IP address with them, nothing is sent to an advertising or analytics company, and records are deleted after 400 days. When someone looks up a word the glossary does not have yet, the word itself is added to a tally so it can be written next; nothing about who looked it up is kept with it. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the optional cookie is never set and nothing is counted.

Pens you looked at

Your browser remembers the last few pens you opened on this site, in its own storage on your device, so the site can show them again under “Recently viewed”. The list is kept only in your browser. To show it, your browser asks this site for those pens' names, photos and prices; that request is not recorded or kept here. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the list.

Your cart

The pens you add to your cart are kept in your browser, on your device, and nowhere on this site. To show the cart, your browser asks this site for those pens' names, photos and prices; that request is not recorded or kept here. There are no accounts. A pen stays in the cart for 30 days or until you remove it, and clearing this site's data in your browser empties it. When you press a Buy button, the checkout starts for the pens you chose.

How online orders are handled

When you buy a pen on this site, you pay on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card or bank details go to Stripe and never reach this site. Stripe sends back your name, e-mail address, shipping address and the amount paid, and this site keeps them with the order so the pen can be shipped and any question about it answered. They are not used for anything else and are not shared with anyone besides Stripe. Stripe's handling of your payment details is described in Stripe's privacy policy.
