Inspired by the incredible Fabergé Eggs of the Russian czar, the artisans at Michel Perchin set out to recreate the eggs as writing instruments! Our Michel Perchin Fabergé Imperial Russia Red emulates the stunning works of art beautifully. The entire cap and barrel are made of solid sterling silver that was then engraved by hand with intricate guilloché. The higher relief work was coated in gold, while the guilloché work was painstakingly enameled with red glass! Each of only 500 hand-made pens of this design took hundreds of hours to complete. This is pen 97 of 500. You might be the lucky first person to ever write with it, as it has sat unused in storage for nearly 30 years. Our Michel Perchin Fabergé Imperial Russia Red comes complete with all of its original boxes and papers. Its 18k gold nib is two-toned and looks like a fine point.
