Description
Every refined young lady needs an excellent fountain pen to record her thoughts, write novels and plot world domination. Hence the invention of the Parker Vacumatic Debutante. We restored this rarer burgundy model with a new diaphragm. This vintage pen was made in 1937. Although it is a perfect color match with the pencil, the pencil is likely an older and larger model made in 1934. At least that is what the date codes tell us. Neither instrument has any cracks or deep scars. The pen is imprinted with the name “Marie G. Bolingbroke.” A quick Google search didn’t come up with any details about her life. The biggest problem with the pen is that it’s lock-down filler sticks. Although the pen fills and holds ink, you can’t push the filler all the way down without it getting stuck and likely needing a tool to help pull it back up. Buyer beware about that issue. You will write a nice fine line with our Parker Vacumatic Debutante pen’s remarkably well plated two-tone 14k gold nib. Pen measures 12.1cm capped.
