Vintage Pens: Parker Vacumatic Maxima

The crowning glory of a Parker Vacumatic collection is the Parker Vacumatic Maxima. These oversized pens cost a premium at the height of the Great Depression. They aren’t truly rare, but they can be difficult to find, too. Our “Blue Max” is a handsome pen with some great barrel clarity. It isn’t factory clear as there is a little ambering, but you can still see through it easily. It has an aluminum speedline filler. The diaphragm was replaced before we received the pen, but it is still in good working order. No cracks, deep scratches or brassing. Just a teeny amount of light wear from use. Nice crisp barrel imprint. No date code! Its 14k gold nib writes a nice fine line with light feedback. 13.9cm capped.
