Description: This is an experimental vacuum-filled Parker Parkette fountain pen from the Arrow Park plant at the Parker Pen headquarters service/repair department in Janesville, Wisconsin.

This pen has a “visulated” barrel exactly like a Vacumatic designed by Arthur O. Dahlberg (see https://parkersheaffer.com/parker-vacumatic-prototypes/).

This pen filling system was influenced by the design work of Solomon Sager, who developed a variation of the Vacumatic filling system as referenced in the 2008 book, ‘Parker Vacumatic’, by Parker, Shepherd, and Zazove (pp. 126-129). From that text, this pen appears to be a bellows filler circa 1936.

Experimental Parker pens are extremely rare and this may be the only example of a Parkette and certainly the only example I have ever seen.

Considering the age, this pen has traveled well with only some general drawer wear to the cap, barrel and trim with masking loss to the nib. This pen has not been restored.

Note There may be some environmental dust spots on the pen that appear as white dots for these are at-home non-professional photographs. Please contact for photographs at higher resolution.
