Description
Near the end of its first life, Conklin moved to Chicago. One of the company’s last pens was the Conklin Glider. Made from 1944 to 1946, these were insanely attractive pens but not up to the quality standards that Conklin demanded when it was based in Toledo, Ohio. We love the green “Matrix”-style of celluloid. Unfortunately, you can see that the trim was poorly plated and is either missing or looking pretty beat-up these days. There is a darkened ink-view window. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. You will enjoy the bounce of this Conklin Glider’s 14k gold nib. Just don’t mistake bouncy for flexi. It isn’t flexible. 13cm capped.
